Each month VIB’s vision impaired volunteers pick up the phone to call blind and partially sighted people who perhaps live alone or in isolated areas, or may just want to hear a friendly voice.  This offers a social opportunity and the ability to speak to someone who being vision impaired may have similar experiences.  We can give advice and support to blind and partially sighted people and their relatives, often allaying a great deal of anxiety speeding up essential help.
